Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore, the Cinque Terre, 5 villages in Liguria di Levante enclosed by two headlands that give life to a unique landscape in which man and nature form a complete harmony. Recognized as a National Park and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, this area is characterized by small rocky coves and villages surrounded by thousands of kilometers of dry-stone walls planted with vines.

Culture of the earth and culture of the sea come together in the daily life of these places and cross time. If the denomination of 5 Terre is of the fifteenth century, the history of the coast instead has an origin that must be sought further afield.

Architecturally the towns of the 5 lands are made up of tall and narrow tower-houses, like small fortresses to protect themselves from the sudden dangers that can come from the sea. The wines and the cuisine of the Cinque Terre blend the land and the sea in a long tradition of flavors.

The Alta Via delle 5 Terre in one day alone is a challenging ride, so you need an adequate physical preparation, but absolutely to do: varied, fun, fresh and, especially in the last part, very scenic, allows you to discover corners of the 5 Terre National Park outside the usual routes for hikers.

The trail starts from Levanto and passes over all 5 Terre, goes down to Portovenere and then goes to La Spezia to catch the train and return to Levanto, it is well maintained and clean, ideal for fully enjoying the MTB area.
